KB Annual Charity Golf Day 2018

KB Annual Charity Golf Day 2018 – We are delighted to confirm that this year’s Charity Golf Day took place on Tuesday 12th April 18 and was again a huge success despite the poor visibility due to the weather!

The day took place at Bristol and Clifton Golf Course with coffee/tea and bacon rolls served in the club house to start the day the teams were fueled up and ready to begin their shot gun start at 9.30am.

Eleven teams made their way around the course and even though the weather was not on our side a good day was had by all. The golden ball competition kept people on their toes, and competitive sides shone through on the longest drive and nearest the pin competitions.

We would like to shout out a big congratulations to Brandwells Construction Ltd who were the winners on the day with 106 points.

Brandwells Construction

We would also like to give a huge thank you to all our teams, sponsors and Bristol & Clifton Golf Club for making this day possible. A lot of local companies made donations for the raffle which helped us raise more money through raffle ticket sales.

The main goal of these events is to raise as much cash as possible for Above and Beyond. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that with all of your generosity we have raised a fantastic £1,162.50 towards our £15,000 target.

The end goal is to purchase a state of the art incubator for premature babies on behalf of the charity Above and Beyond. The Incubator for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital, provides much more visibility for parents to see their very small and sick baby than a normal incubator does. It also means parents can cuddle their baby without taking them off the ventilator. This contact and visibility is vital for both a baby and its parents during these early days and weeks of life and is a fantastic cause to be raising money for.

This event along with our other Charity events that we have held over the past year brings our grand total so far to £7,114.50 which brings us in just under the half way mark. This is a fantastic amount to achieve for our fund raising, so again thank you.

We look forward to seeing you all there again next year, and finger crossed the sun will shine?! Third time lucky!!
