GALLIFORD TRY PARTNERSHIPS AGENCY DAY – GALLIFORD TRY’S STRAP LINE IS TO DELIVER LASTING CHANGE, TRANSFORMING LIVES AND LANDSCAPES THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS THAT BUILD VIBRANT AFFORDABLE HOMES AND SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES.
On 8th February 2018 they invited the key agencies that are part of their PSL to spend ½ day learning about their vision. Three agencies attended including Kingston Barnes that now form the tier 1 supply chain to the West business. Galliford Try Partnership’s Regional Director Jon Young, Commercial Manager David Dawson and Ashley Clarke Resourcing Manager led the presentation and discussion about how we can continue the collaboration as the leading supplier of permanent candidates into the extremely busy and growing business.
As part of the agency day we were taken to their flagship site in Bristol, Stoke Gifford Retirement Village. Howard Evans (Senior Project Manager) led us around the £44m project, which will provide 261 affordable retirement homes and is due for completion in August 2018.
The site that started in May 2016 is one of Galliford Try’s success stories. The business aims to achieve a 5* status through 2018/2019 and will achieve £50m T/O in 2018. Projects are won through lots of different methods from negotiation and competitive tendering to land led open market and joint ventures with affordable housing landlords. This unique business model creates a variety of projects from, a 30+ unit development for Aster Housing to an £60+m multi storey accommodation project in central Bristol.
It’s an extremely busy time for Galliford Try Partnership and with lots of new major projects on the horizon Kingston Barnes is currently recruiting for a variety of roles from estimating, surveying to site and project management.
