Kingston Barnes has announced its 2024 charity and pledge to raise a massive £10,000
“We’re looking forward to raising funds for this amazing charity”
Kingston Barnes has announced it will support and raise funds for The Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Children Appeal for 2024, and pledge to raise a massive £10,000 for the cause.
This month, Kingston Barnes, a recruitment agency based in Queen Square, Bristol, revealed which charity they’ll be supporting in 2024, and have promised to raise thousands of pounds for the Children of Bristol.
The Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Children Appeal is a registered charity that raises money throughout the year to help the city’s most disadvantaged children and young people at Christmas time. Their work enables them to help a massive 1,650 of the city’s children who are most in need so they can enjoy the festive period.
The Appeal started in the 1920’s, when it was known as the Lord Mayor’s Fund, and raised money to give the city’s poor children a Christmas dinner and boots.
Kingston Barnes will have just ten months to raise the funds, and will be gathering the money for the Charity by a variety of challenges and events this year including a 5-a-side football tournament and Christmas Quiz. The Recruitment Agency will also be announcing a very special challenge in the next few months!
James Kingston, Founder and Owner of Kingston Barnes Recruitment Agency said: “This wonderful charity raises £82,500 every year to support 1,650 of the poorest children in Bristol, providing them with a better Christmas. For those living below the poverty line, the holiday season can be especially challenging. We have an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in need this Christmas. That’s why we’re pledging to raise and donate a whopping £10,000 in 2024, as well as contribute a significant amount to the Toy Appeal.”
