Then please get in touch! Kingston Barnes are recruiting for a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician to join our client in the Rochester area!

**The Company**

You will be working for a well-respected industrial manufacturing company that takes waste and plastics, develops and delivers innovative ways to reuse, recycle or recover energy from domestic and commercial waste.

**Responsibilities**

  • To complete the pre-planned maintenance inspections as defined by site maintenance plans in a safe and effective manner.

·To plan and deliver corrective and reactive work, ensuring that tools, parts, and materials are available and production downtime is minimised whilst also upholding and exceeding standards of safety ensuring that all work areas are kept tidy.

·Ensure maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely, economically and within the environmental limits of the plant.

·To undertake engineering project work and assist with new installations or refurbishments.

·Work as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising environmental Health & Safety risk within the plant.

·To undertake assessments of malfunctioning equipment and provide advice to the site management team to assist and influence decision making.

·To be aware of stock control and maintain shift paperwork to the highest standard, to complete condition reports and other documentation as defined by the maintenance strategy.

**Requirements**

  • Mechanical/Electrical engineering background is essential.
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 / HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, or similar background (Industrial engineering, heavy industry, FMCG, quarry background etc.).

**Package**

·£41,000 per annum + London living wage (£1200 + £1500)
