£2,520.19 RAISED FOR Children’s Hospice South West
Last week, Friday 8th September was the Kingston Barnes charity 5-a-side football tournament at the Imperial Sports Grounds in Whitchurch.
In total, we managed to raise a massive £2,520.19 for Children’s Hospice South West.
In addition to the nail-biting football being played, we also hosted a raffle with great prizes such as a signed Bristol City Football Club shirt, a three-course lunch for two at THE PIG, near bath, a four-ball at Henbury golf club, a brand-new chair donated by Avent Interiors Ltd (retails around £400) and two tickets for Wake The Tiger experience.
The Winners = Property Pele’s
They beat Beard Bristol in an epic finale with both sides taking the lead throughout the game. With more tension and drama to follow the final score was 5-5 so the game went to a penalty shoot out. With Neil “The Cat” Sherreard in goal for Beard and Sulli “Golden Gloves” Gardner for Property Pele’s. Beard lost 5-4 in penalties but it really could have gone either way
A huge thank you to the teams who played: Moore Stephens IT, Beard Bristol, Beard Swindon, Craddy’s, Paramount Interiors, Ridge & Partners, Poplar, Galliford Try, Envolve Infrastructure, Berkeley Square IT and Willmott Dixon.
We’re looking forward to an even bigger and better 10th tournament next year
