KINGSTON BARNES’S  – CHARITY UPDATE – ON TARGET FOR £15K STATE OF THE ART INCUBATOR

Kingston Barnes are thrilled to announce that as proud partners of Above and Beyond, we raised £8,314.65 last year which puts us well over half way to reach our £15,000 target.

The end goal is to purchase a state-of-the-art incubator for premature babies on behalf of the charity Above and Beyond. The Incubator for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital, provides much more visibility for parents to see their very small and sick baby than a normal incubator does. It also means parents can cuddle their baby without taking them off the ventilator. This contact and visibility is vital for both a baby and its parents during these early days and weeks of life and is a fantastic cause to be raising money for.

The money that we have raised this year have been down to KB rowing the channel https://kingstonbarnes.com/kingston-barnes-rowing-challenge-completed/, our annual golf day https://kingstonbarnes.com/kb-annual-charity-golf-day-2018-date-confirmed/, part of the team taking on Tough Mudder https://kingstonbarnes.com/kingston-barnes-take-on-tough-mudder/ and our December Christmas swear jar.

Our MD James Kingston said “We’d like to give a huge thank you to all that have supported us by taking part in our events and to those who have sponsored us so far. We have managed to raise over 50% so far towards our £15k target and have some really exciting and interesting events and challenges ahead in 2019 so watch this space for the chance to get involved!”

Above & Beyond raises funds to make a real difference to patient care in our city. Our work touches the lives of 974,000 patients who are treated at Bristol city centre hospitals every year as well as the millions of friends and family who visit them and the dedicated NHS staff who care for them.
