THE COMPANY

Operating from multiple offices around the UK with nearly 1000 staff members, they provide services to a diverse portfolio of high-profile public and private sector clients; working on projects in Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare and Residential sectors.

At present, they are seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to join their growing CDM/Health & Safety team on a permanent basis. You can expect to deliver a wide range of services to their clients including, but not limited to, CDM Services, Health & Safety Auditing and Fire Risk Assessments. You can expect to work in conjunction with the other divisions within our client’s organisation as well as on independent commissions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The ideal candidate will be working in a similar role within a Construction or Property Consultancy currently, however you could be working for either a major institution or contractor and be looking to return to a consultancy environment. You can expect to be primarily involved with projects throughout the pre-construction phase through to the delivery on site, as well as advising on post-occupancy matters.

This role will suit an experienced Health & Safety professional with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. You will be currently delivering or have previous experience a range of health & safety services to public and private sector clients including acting as Principal Designer on small to larger scale projects, conducting audits of health and safety procedures, undertaking investigations of accidents/incidents, and the provision of training to client organisations.

In return, our client is offering a highly competitive salary from £35,000 – £45,000 plus an extensive and flexible benefits package which includes private medical insurance and a contributory pension scheme among other benefits.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 6 Health & Safety Qualification i.e. NEBOSH
  • At a minimum be working towards chartered status with IOSH and/or the Association for Project Safety. Membership of another industry specific organisation is highly desirable (I.E. RICS, CIOB etc.)
  • Proven experience delivering client side health and safety services within the Construction & Property industry.
  • Demonstrable experience working under the CDM regulations acting in the role of Principal Designer, CDM Consultant or CDM Coordinator.
  • Broad experience of different project types and sizes
  • Excellent IT and Communication Skills
  • Qualified Fire Risk Assessor (highly desirable but not essential)
