THE COMPANY

A leading food production company with an established reputation in the food industry.

At present, they are seeking a number of food production operatives to join them on an ongoing basis, with a potential opportunity to join them as a permanent member of staff.


THE OPPORTUNITY

Operating from their depot in East Bristol you will be required to work on a production line, working around 8-10 hours per day depending on production levels, Monday to Friday.

In return, our client is offering an hourly rate of £9.20ph plus the opportunity to work more hours each week if this is something that you desire.

The Company: An innovative and forward moving food manufacture with a solid place in their market. They have experience rapid growth due to the demand of their products across the UK. Following the opening of their new facility they are now looking to expand their team.

The Role: The role will require a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to undergo pre-planned maintenance and reactive maintenance across all company machinery. You will be working within a fast-paced environment so the ability to work under pressure is key. When dealing with consumable products hygiene will be at upmost importance so compliance to all Health and Safety procedures is essential.

The Requirements:

  • Multi-Skilled Engineer with an engineering qualification – NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • 16th/17th Edition
  • Background in FMCG or Food Production
  • Health and Safety/Food Hygiene Trained
  • Computer Literate – MS Office and a PPM system
  • Ability to understand Mechanical and Electrical drawings
  • Negotiable Salary

The Role: You will be responsible to carry out routine reactive and planned maintenance and across equipment and systems on site. You also will be expected to work in a fast paced and pressurised environment, efficiency and accuracy is key.

You will be required to undertake electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process, in a cost-effective manner whilst meeting Health and Safety standards.

The Candidate: The candidate ideally should have experience working within FMCG or a manufacturing environment and be efficient in resolving issues and identifying problems in a short time frame. This candidate must have a good attitude towards work as there are frequent opportunities for upskilling and development.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an engineering apprenticeship
  • Experience of working with industrial machinery, ideally within manufacturing or similar
  • Experience of working with automated machinery very beneficial
  • Ability to find fault and resolve issues (PLC interpretation)
  • Maintenance of low voltage electrical equipment as well as three phase electrics

You will be required to undertake electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process, in a cost-effective manner whilst meeting Health and Safety standards.

The Candidate: The candidate ideally should have experience working within FMCG or a manufacturing environment and be efficient in resolving issues and identifying problems in a short time frame. This candidate must be willing to learn and have a good attitude towards work.

Requirements:

Open on qualifications, any of the following will prove beneficial –

  • Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC Level 3 or similar
  • FMCG or manufacturing background (Ideal)
  • Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance background
  • Knowledge of grading machines, pumps, shaft drives, hydraulics, pneumatics or three phase motors, invertors, drives, plc’s, automated machinery

Training:

  • On the job training will be provided (Will be sent on NVQ courses as well (Mech or Elec)
