The Role: The Health and Safety is paramount to this role. Health and safety must be prioritised along with cleanliness. Applicants must be Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers and respond promptly to breakdowns, in addition to planning ahead for preventative maintenance. Work closely as a team that can be dynamic, and problem solve. Provide feedback to management regarding improvements to the production process. The physical demands of this role involve manual handling and working in confined spaces.

Requirements:

  • Electrically biased
  • Experienced Maintenance Engineering background
  • Multi-skilled with good mechanical maintenance skills
  • City & Guild BTEC Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering
  • Apprenticeship within a manufacturing environment (Advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an automated production facility
  • Experience in working in the packaging/ food/ brewery/ FMCG industry
  • Health and Safety aware

The Role: You will be required to ensure the smooth production of the product and operation of machinery. You also will be expected to resolve any process issues, reactive and pre planned, mechanical fault finding on machinery and equipment that may arise. You will be expected to have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, basic welding, bolts and conveyor maintenance.

You will be required to undertake electro-mechanical maintenance on medium and high speed production machinery to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process, producing quality products in a cost-effective manner.

The Candidate: The candidate ideally should have experience working within a FMCG manufacturing environment and be efficient in resolving issues and identifying problems in a short time frame. You will be trusted to lead engineering response in the absence of the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering background
  • Worked within FMCG Manufacturing or similar
  • Engineering Qualification’s- ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ 3, Apprentice trained or equivalent
  • PLC Fault Finding (Ideally)
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment i.e. a mixture of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, valves, pistons, conveyors
  • 3 Phase Electrical Experience

ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – WILTSHIRE

The Engineer is required to undertake electrically biased maintenance on state of the machinery within an industrial FMCG manufacturing site. Full training and development in company and manufacturing systems with excellent starting salary.

Salary & Location: £36,000 + Overtime

Berkshire

The Role: Within the remit of the role you will be undertaking electrically biased maintenance on state of the art high speed production machinery. The role is split between planned and reactive maintenance within the facility, and all engineers will be actively involved in helping set up PPM’s weekly and installation work on a project basis.

Most of the role will revolve around front-line electrical maintenance and so experience working in a pressurised maintenance role is required. The role will involve working on Siemens and Mitsubishi drives as well as some project work.

The site is semi-automated and uses a mixture of PLC’s. Any candidates with experience fault finding on PLC’s would be considered, any experience programming ideal. As a skilled and meticulous Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be well organised and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines on a rotating shift pattern.

The Candidate:

–  Electrical maintenance background/bias

  • Electrical apprenticeship and qualifications (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience working in a high speed production environment (or similar)
  • Strong Electrical skills. Able to fault find on invertors, motors and drives (Siemens or Mitsubishi)
  • PLC fault finding skills, PLC programming ideal
