The Opportunity:
As a senior project manager you will lead from the front, managing a team of ambitious and talented project managers with an exciting portfolio of works within the healthcare sector with a diverse range of clients across Bristol and Wales. You will be a key decision maker and a direct point of contact for clients, you will be supporting and developing the clients’ strategy and appointing professional teams including sub contractors and consultants to execute the clients vision. Due to the nature of the role you will be responsible for ensuring fantastic communication channels are upheld between internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and ensuring the requirements of the project are successfully implemented.
You will be involved in the full project lifecycle and will work collaboratively with the client where you will report to their programme director/senior team to create strategy and ensure delivery of the project also leading on design management and procurement. Naturally you will be supervising and developing the healthcare team to ensure that safety is assured, and quality and cost improvements are evaluated and improved with delivery partners.
As a senior member of the healthcare division you will also be directly involved in growing the team and will have involvement in the recruitment and selection process.
The Requirements:
The desired candidate will demonstrate initiative, a high quality of knowledge in regard to the healthcare sector and construction, and be able to deliver advice to clients confidently.
- You will hold a degree qualification in construction project management
- You are a member of the RICS, CIOB or APM.
- As you will be leading and providing mentoring to Assistants and Graduates it is vital you have experience of leading on large/capital projects within the healthcare sector.
- You are experienced in business development.
- You have experience of contract administration for both JCT and NEC contracts.
