THE COMPANY
A market leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with an established office in Bristol. They operate from ten offices in the UK alone, employing over 1000 experienced and enthusiastic consultants. They provide Building Surveying, Cost Consultancy and Project Management services to a diverse portfolio of high-profile public and private sector clients; working on projects in Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare and Residential sectors.
At present, they are seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join their strategic asset management team on a permanent basis. You will be joining a brand new division in the organisation whose primary function is to provide energy resilience surveys and recommendations for affordable housing providers. Within this role you will have extensive scope for progression, team leading and business development opportunities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This position is a vital component in the asset management team in order to comply with PAS 2035 installations and retrofitting. You will be responsible for overseeing domestic retrofit projects end to end, liaise with clients, homeowners, installation managers and contractors, to ensure successful project management.
You will review specifications and construction information for the planned works. Maintain contact with installation teams, being the point of contact to answer any of their questions regarding design specifications and choices. Manage client expectations and resolve any queries, obstacles or issues with clients efficiently.
Your role will also include monitoring and assessing the quality of work carried out and carry out an agreed number of site visits at key points during the design and installation phase.
WHAT IS REQUIRED
You will be a self-starter, with excellent communication and advisory skills, take initiative and take pride in your work. You will take a considered and proportionate approach to risk.
- R.I.C.S accredited.
- PAS 2035 qualification (Preferred). Funding for course can be provided.
- Level 4 award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment (Preferred).
- Passion for energy resilience, environmental sustainability and a carbon neutral future.
- Residential retrofitting experience with a consultancy background.
- Work winning/business development experience.
