I am currently recruiting for a continuous improvement engineer/manager in the Bristol area. Our client is a rapidly expanding company supplying extrusions to a wide range of market sectors. This is a fantastic days’ position offering a starting salary of £37,000.

 

The Role: The Continuous Improvement Engineer/Manager will coordinate continuous improvement actives by ensuring that a continuous improvement mindset and culture through the business and sustains workplace continuous improvement. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure quality, Efficiency and Processes of the Logistics division is maintained and improved
  • Ensuring the BSI/ISO standards and meet and maintained
  • Act as a key driver of change in the business
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and promote a change culture
  • Conduct assessments of business processes to develop om-house quality policies, procedures and specifications
  • Analyse and deliver initiatives to drive CI through methods such as six sigma, root cause anaylsis, 5s
  • Monthly reports
  • Create a costing plan for improvements to demonstrate savings and waste reduction
  • Analyse downtime and consider solutions of improving efficiency

 

The Candidate: Skills and Experience –

  • Kanban, Lean, Scrum, SAFe, TQM, QMM, MPI, DSDM
  • Management, teamwork and leadership
  • Focus towards implementing change and strong passion for driving CI
  • Excellent communication skills

Key Attributes:

  • CI knowledge and experience (engineer, supervisor or manager level)
  • Six Sigma or similar qualification
  • Assembly manufacturing or similar background
  • Process mapping, LEAN etc

 

Benefits:

  • £37,000 salary
  • Monday to Friday days, 8.30 – 4.30pm
  • 22 days holiday plus banks
