THE COMPANY
A medium sized multi-disciplinary consultancy with an established office in Brighton. They operate from several regional offices across the UK, employing over 100 technical staff. They provide Cost Consultancy, Employers Agent, Project Management and Building Surveying services to a wide range of public and private sector clients across diverse sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, leisure, retail, education and infrastructure.
At present, due to to continued growth of the business, they are seeking to appoint several Chartered Quantity Surveyors to join their team on a permanent basis. You can expect to be leading your own projects initially, however moving forwards you may be asked to work as part of a team on larger commissions.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The ideal candidate will be working within a Construction Consultancy delivering their own projects but perhaps looking to move into an environment where you can quickly progress your career. Typically your workload will include a mixture of Cost Consultancy and Employer’s Agent work covering the South Coast and M23 corridor. Ideally you will have experience working on a mixture of private and public sectors schemes, with at least some exposure to the residential and commercial sectors.
This role could suit either a relatively recently Chartered Surveyor who is looking to join a forward thinking consultancy where they can develop professionally, alternatively you could be a more experienced Surveyor who is looking to take the step up to Senior Quantity Surveyor level within the next 12 months. Typically you can expect a mixture of home and office based working, generally this is on a 3 days from home, 2 days from the office basis although there is flexibility both ways depending on project commitments.
In return, our client is offering a highly competitive salary from £55,000 – £65,000 plus an extensive and flexible benefits package which includes car allownace, private medical insurance and a contributory pension scheme among other benefits.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or a related field
- Hold Chartered status with RICS (or equivalent)
- Ability to deliver own schemes with minimal supervision
- Ideally experience acting as Employer’s Agent/Contract Administrator
