Operating from multiple offices around the UK with nearly 1000 staff members, they provide Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and Project Management services to a diverse portfolio of high-profile public and private sector clients; working on projects in Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare and Residential sectors. The Quantity Surveying team offers a mix of traditional cost consultancy and employers agent services to clients throughout the South West and South Wales.
At present, they are seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. You can expect to be leading your own projects initially, however moving forwards you may be asked to work as part of a team on larger commissions.

The ideal candidate will be working within a Construction Consultancy delivering their own projects but perhaps looking to move into an environment where you can quickly progress your career. Ideally you will have experience working on a mixture of private and public sectors schemes, with a strong understanding of public sector procurement processes. Current projects you could be working on initially include schemes in the residential (affordable housing and mixed use developments), heritage, education (primary, secondary, FE and HE) and commercial sectors, so experience in any of these sectors would be highly desirable. Moving forwards their diverse workload means you can shape your career to focus on the services and sectors that interest you the most.
This role will suit an up and coming Quantity Surveyor with 1-3 years post APC experience, alternatively you could be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking to become chartered in the next 12 months who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will be predominantly based from their central Bristol office with some travel throughout the South West region when required.
In return, our client is offering a highly competitive salary from £40,000 – £50,000 plus an extensive and flexible benefits package which includes private medical insurance and a contributory pension scheme among other benefits.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or a related field
- MRICS status
- Previous experience delivering residential, education, commercial or heritage schemes (desirable)
- Previous experience acting as Employers Agent/Contract Administrator (desirable)
- Ability to deliver own schemes with minimal supervision
