THE COMPANY
A market leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with an established office in Bristol. They operate from ten offices in the UK alone, employing over 500 experienced and enthusiastic consultants. They provide Building Surveying, Cost Consultancy and Project Management services to a diverse portfolio of high-profile public and private sector clients; working on projects in Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare and Residential sectors.
At present, they are seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. Initially you would be working as part of a team on a major workstream due to start shortly, however moving forwards, you would be given the freedom to focus on the service areas that you enjoy the most, with huge scope to progress within the business to level of Associate and beyond.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The ideal candidate will be working within a construction consultancy delivering value for money in all business objectives. You will be a self-starter and take initiative in proactively managing and undertaking surveys, designs and specifications, administrate projects and more. You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors with exclusive clientele providing a bespoke service.
You will have experience delivering a range of projects/services including; planned maintenance, contract administration, condition, defects and measured surveys, clerk of works, project management, production of technical specifications and production of tender documents.
You will be predominantly based from their central Bristol office with some travel throughout the South West region when required.

WHAT IS REQUIRED
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
- Health & Safety experience or training is essential with Experience in CDM
- Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery with the ability to build long term relationships.
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
- Excellent specification writing skills
- Previously employed by a consultancy
- RICS accreditation is preferred
